Camicia half way done

I have the camicia half way done. All it needs are side seams and sleeve openings with cuffs and lace. Neckline is done and trimmedI had forgotten what a game it is to work with 8mm habatai silk. I made the front and back panels much fuller this time so I would have a little more opacity at the open V-front.

Italian Renaissance Costume Challenge!

I have created this blog to record my progress through the Italian Renaissance Costume Challenge hosted by the Realm of Venus website. I have 4 months to complete 4 pieces, and have the ambition of doing many more. It has begun. The fabric arrived from FabricGuru the first day of the competition. Excellent. I consider it a good sign. I feel invigorated.
